The Peace and Justice Team has selected Restorative Justice/Equity in Bend as the recipient of the local portion of the annual Peacemaking Offering this year.
Initiated by First Presbyterian member Marilyn Burwell, Restorative Justice/Equity is doing remarkable work in the area of encouraging and supporting equity in the public schools. In collaboration with Bend-La Pine School District and human services groups, it has scheduled a forum for high school students of color this month, the goal of which is to encourage communication and address the needs of kids who may feel marginalized.
The Peace and Justice Team is proud to be supporters of this important ongoing effort by Restorative Justice/Equity Bend!
