This Lent, our theme is: FINDING HOPE IN THE HARD PLACES
Joy and sorrow. Love and loss. Triumph and tragedy. Life is going as planned, and then the phone rings, a diagnosis drops, you listen to the latest breaking news, or some creeping ache reminds us that everything – everything – is so much more fragile and uncertain than we’d like to admit. Life can be too much. Right now life feels particularly chaotic and overwhelming for most of us. Lent is the season we are invited to sit in that heaviness. For 40 days, we stop pretending things will magically get better and face the truth: life is fragile, and so are we. Lent is the season where we sit with the ache and the fragile parts we’d rather avoid, and trust that hope is somewhere nearby, waiting for us to notice.
Lenten Resources: This Lent, you are invited to use the daily devotional and/or group discussion guides by Kate Bowler, either on your own or to guide conversation with others. We encourage your to invite someone for coffee, a walk or to share a meal together, using these resources as a guide for your conversation.

Wednesday Communion Service Resumes | Wed. March 5, 12PM (Sanctuary)
Join us on Wednesdays at noon in the Sanctuary for a brief 30 minute communion service followed by centering prayer for those who wish, each Wednesday at noon during the season of lent. Begins weekly on Wednesday, March 5th. All are welcome.
Ash Wednesday Service | Wed. March 5, 7PM (Sanctuary)
Join us on Wednesday, March 5 at 7PM in the sanctuary. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Season of Lent. Join us for worship as we empty ourselves of those things that are life-denying and soul-destroying that there might be room for the movement of the Spirit that makes all things new.
Finding Peace & Purpose Through Poetry Zoom Devotional | Beings March 5th
Pastor Steven will be leading 30-minute Zoom Devotions for Lent from 8am-8:30am each weekday Morning beginning Ash Wednesday, March 5 through Easter Monday, April 21. You are welcome to attend any or all of these gatherings. Please email the church office for Zoom link.
Kits for Kids Bag Sewing | Sun. March 9 & April 6; Wed. May 28 (Adult Center)
Do you enjoy sewing or would like to learn how to sew, all while enjoying the company of a wonderful group of people?Join us for our Sewing Parties. All are welcome to join us while we sew bags for our Kits for Kids ministries. We will have experienced sewers to teach and sewing machines available if you would like to learn. We have over 500 bags to make before the end of the summer and we need your help. We will have the materials and sewing machines available. Bring your machine if you can. Good Friday Service | Friday, April 18, 7PM (Sanctuary)
Join us Friday, April 18 @ 7PM on this sacred night as we gather at the foot of the cross and encounter the incomprehensible love of Christ. We will hear the seven last words of Jesus on the cross and be surrounded by the gift of sacred music.
Easter Sunday Services | Sunday, April 20

*Easter Egg Hunt to immediately follow 10AM service on the playground/labyrinth area. Gather outside of church commons near picnic table.
Church Clean Up | Sat. May 3, 9AM-12PM (Church Grounds)
Church Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 3 from 9am-noon. Please join us as we weed, rake, pick up trash, and generally get the grounds ready for summer and fire season. Bring gloves, rakes, wheelbarrows, weedeaters, trailers, and any other gardening tools you think could be useful. Snacks and drinks will be provided!
