About Jenni Whelan
What is your role at the church, and what do you love most about it?
I am the Missions & Arts Coordinator. I am a volunteer staff member who is dedicated to supporting the Staff, Deacons and Session at creating engaging events, activities and programming. My favorite part of my job is engaging the congregation through art.
Where are you from and what brought you to serve at BendFP?
I grew up in Bend! I felt called to join the team spring of 2024. I told Steven that I wanted to be a part of this ministry and felt I had something to contribute. I’m a full time homeschool mom, keeper of our little farm, and travel often and the staff took me on as a part of the team at a level I could commit to. I feel honored to be a part of this staff and serve this congregation.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I am a lifetime student, I love going to school, I have 9 years of post high school education and love to learn new things through books or classes.
What’s your go-to coffee (or tea) order?
Oatmilk Chai
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My husband travels the world for work and we often get to join him. Traveling is where my family is happiest. I’m obsessed with flowers, reading and art. I go to yoga class every morning after I say hello to the pigs and goats and watch the sun come up over our fields. My life is filled with so much beauty everyday.
