About Guatemala Habitat Project: small change, giant leap

Go beyond Bend to San Lucas Tolimån, a Guatemalan town on the southern shore of lake Atitlan.

In a five-year partnership with Habitat for Humanity International focuses on building smokeless stoves, upgrading existing shacks to healthy dwellings, building simple and decent housing, sponsoring scholars, taking two or three trips a year to San Lucas Toliman and helping others to develop their own Guatemala Mission Program.

Guatemala Habitat Project Trips

Mission Trips to San Lucas Toliman

We’ll return to San Lucas Toliman, on the banks of Lake Atitlan, to build homes, smokeless stoves and latrines for Habitat for Humanity. We’ll enjoy cultural activities, visit sponsored students, and enjoy some free time at the end of our work week, in Antigua. We’d love to have return participants and are always thrilled to welcome new folks to accompany us on this amazing opportunity to learn new skills while getting to know the lovely Guatemalan people in San Lucas Toliman.

Interested? Questions? Pick up a Trip at a Glance sheet at church – which outlines cost and itinerary, or call any of the trip leaders listed above.
