@your Church Library – featuring Jane Kirkpatrick’s “Everything She Didn’t Say” – an inspiring remarkably researched story about Carrie Strahorn. Jane’s readers have once again been blessed with her engaging depiction of this spirited woman.

Here is what her avid readers are sharing:

“I got a special gift in the mail last September — Everything She Didn’t Say.  I love to read Jane’s latest treasure and so I started immediately.  The next morning when I finished, I thought, Carrie Strahorn is either the smartest or most foolish woman in the universe.  And then I remembered the line in the book: “The shortest path to home is with family and friends walking beside us.”  Jane took me on so many paths in this book with her magic use of an introductory manuscript in each short but rich chapter.  The landscapes, the loving relationships, the hard work and resilience Jane portrayed through Carrie, made it a wonderful reading experience.  For history buffs, you will adore the information about how our corner of the world was developed.” — Harriet L.

“In Everything She Didn’t Say, Jane Kirkpatrick adds to the unwritten history of our Western expansion.  Here we get to know Carrie Strahorn, wife of Robert Strahorn, writer, railroad promoter, and land speculator.  This couple had an adventurous lifetime with many twists and turns.  Robert was fully engrossed in his career and would go wherever opportunities appeared.  Carrie was the dutiful wife, following and supporting her husband as best she could.  Her courage and fortitude is remarkable.  However, underneath her bright countenance, she longed for a traditional life of having a home, family, and friends.  I highly recommend this historical novel.  It’s a tremendour journey and a fascinating read!” — Kay B.
