Embracing Imperfections of Life and Faith (A Lent Series based on Kate Bowler’s Good Enough – 40ish Devotionals For a Life of Imperfection).

Lent marks the forty days leading to Easter, mirroring the forty days Jesus spent in the wilderness. It is a practice that began in the 4th century as a way to prepare for the holiest days of the year. Lent is a season of truth telling and raw honesty acknowledging life is both beautiful; and so very hard.

Many people practice Lent by giving something up or taking on something new. This year we are going to use a devotional book and reflection guide by Kate Bowler called Good Enough: 40ish Devotionals for a Life of Imperfection. We’re going to give up on the idea that life is always getting bigger and better in every way and embrace a life and faith that embraces imperfections and is good enough.
