Rev. Jenny Warner
I’m at First Presbyterian because it is a community that is passionate about justice and spiritual formation and community. We don’t do it perfectly but we are willing to try just about anything and that spirit of adventure and experimentation makes it an exciting place to work.
I have a been a trainer in cross-cultural adjustment, a graphic designer, a mom, a church administrator and a spiritual director. I graduated from Biola University with a degree in Intercultural Studies and Psychology and after living in Europe for a few years and getting married, I went back to seminary when my youngest daughter was one. Seven years later, I graduated from seminary after balancing studies and a young family. First Presbyterian is my first job as a pastor.
I love to travel, particularly in Europe though Central America is growing on me. I am currently working on learning Spanish. I love to create things with my hands—knitting, paper collage, sewing and cooking. I am a food, coffee and wine snob but have learned to appreciate the best beer and pub food in the world here in Bend. I cherish those closest to me and am grateful for a world-wide circle of friends and my sweet family who keep me grounded and laughing at myself.
