About Emily Miller
What is your role at the church, and what do you love most about it?
I am the Administrator at First Presbyterian Church which includes managing the operations of the facility, supporting the pastoral team and staff, logistics and more! What I love most about my job is hearing about how this church positively impacts Central Oregon. Everyone in Central Oregon seems to have a story about how First Pres has touched their life.
Where are you from and what brought you to serve at BendFP?
For 17 years of my career, I specialized in international exports, accounting, and logistics for a local manufacturer of outdoor equipment. I also have a background in economic development. I have been here in Central Oregon since 2001 so I have been around here a little while. What brought me to First Presbyterian was my desire to work in a place of purpose and passion.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m an introvert that can do extroverted things. And, I have a lot of animals at home.
What’s your go-to coffee (or tea) order? I love a good cappuccino SO much!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I love doing art projects and my daughter also loves them so – bonding time! I also love reading, walking, being in and around the water and laughing.
