About Burundi: A Partnership with African Road and ASSEJEBA (Hope for Batwa Youth)

An outreach to help create a sustainable future for Batwa people in the small east African country of Burundi. We are working with African Road and ASSEJEBA to come along side Batwa in three villages. Adults are now recognized citizens with ID cards giving them access to basic rights and through ongoing agriculture and education projects, parents are now able to feed their families and children are attending school. This is a journey toward hope, empowerment, dignity and long term sustainability.

Our Vision

To walk in partnership with the Batwa people in the villages of Gahombo, Ndava and Mwendo on their journey toward hope and empowerment, dignity and long term sustainability. Our relationship-based model provides a way for all partners to share in the power of this life-changing transformation.
